The initiative identified key objectives, including improving the efficiency, reliability and overall quality of the journal’s editorial and publishing workflows.
Another objective is to build the capacity of key stakeholders while enhancing the journal’s visibility and accessibility through improved indexing and the adoption of best practices in academic publishing.
Key activities undertaken include a redesign of the editorial workflow, proofreading and copy editing of Issue 2, the development of a strategic plan for the journal, the establishment of a monitoring and metrics dashboard, as well as evaluation, final reporting and project closure.
Expected outcomes of the project include faster and more transparent editorial processes, strengthened editorial and technical capacity, and increased global visibility and discoverability of the journal.
The total budget for the project is 28,000, made up of a requested amount of 18,000 and an institutional contribution of 10,000.
An upcoming capacity-building workshop has been proposed for March 3–5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, with about 30 participants expected, including administrative staff and representatives from the E-Learning Research and Practice (E-LRP) journal.
